Hypnosis for Healing, Self-Discovery & Transformation
There are parts of us that think.
There are parts that remember.
There are parts quietly carrying burdens we no longer need.
Hypnosis offers a gentle way to listen beneath the constant chatter of the conscious mind—not because someone else has the answers, but because your own inner wisdom often does.
Whether you’re seeking healing, clarity, relief from old patterns, or simply a deeper understanding of yourself, hypnosis can become a doorway into meaningful change.
You don’t have to know exactly what you’re looking for to begin. Sometimes the most meaningful discoveries start with simple curiosity.
What is hypnosis?
You may be wondering, what is hypnosis? And what happens when you are hypnotized.
Hypnosis is a trance-like state of heightened focus/awareness combined with deep relaxation.
This allows the individual to bypass the critical, judging filters of the conscious mind and access a state of mental flexibility.
- you’re awake
- you remain in control
- it feels natural
- it’s very similar to a guided meditation
What Hypnosis is NOT
What does a hypnosis session consist of?
Before hypnosis, we’ll spend time talking.
This is your opportunity to share your story, your goals, and anything you hope to understand or experience during our time together. In essence, you’ll tell me your life story from birth to your current age, focusing on the major highs and lows you’ve experienced. You are a fascinating unique individual with a very interesting life story. Telling me your story generally takes 2-4 hours. My role is to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help you clarify what matters most to you.
There is no rush and no “right” way to prepare.
By the time we begin hypnosis, we’ll both have a clear sense of where your curiosity is leading us.
If you’d like, you can come to the session with a set of questions. Together, we’ll look at the questions you’ve brought and explore what you’re truly hoping to discover.
You may want to know about a particular time in your life that you can’t remember clearly. Perhaps you want to know why something happened or if you should pursue something in particular. All of these questions can be explored, and often, under hypnosis our subconscious can deliver great wisdom in regard to our deepest questions.
When we set intentions, we create a clear direction while remaining open to whatever wisdom unfolds.
We’ll move into a deeply relaxed, focused state using gentle guidance and visualization. Most people describe the experience as peaceful and surprisingly natural.
Most individuals maintain conscious awareness throughout the hypnosis experience. Some individuals have no conscious awareness or memory of conversations during hypnosis. For this reason, all sessions are audio recorded. You will be given the audio recording of your session soon after the session is completed.
Once you are in a hypnotic state, you will tell me what you are thinking, feeling, noticing. It’s like describing a dream while you are still in the dream and aware that you are dreaming. Throughout the experience, I ask you questions to guide you through the experience, while helping you focus your attention.
I believe your subconscious mind knows exactly what information you seek. You are both the formulator of the question, and the creator of the answer.
There is no script for what you’ll discover. Every session is unique.
One of the most valuable parts of the session happens after hypnosis.
We’ll take time to talk about your experience, explore any symbolism or insights that emerged, and discuss how those discoveries might relate to your life today.
The goal isn’t simply to have an interesting experience—it’s to carry meaningful understanding back into your everyday life.

Why I do this work
I’ve always been fascinated by the stories people carry.
Some are spoken aloud. Others reveal themselves through dreams, creativity, intuition, or the quiet wisdom of the subconscious. My work as a hypnotist grew from a lifelong curiosity about what shapes us, what helps us heal, and what becomes possible when we slow down long enough to truly listen.
Before becoming a hypnotist, I spent fifteen years as an art teacher. Those years taught me that every person has an incredible capacity for creativity, resilience, and transformation when they feel seen and supported.
Eventually, my own curiosity led me to explore hypnosis—not as a performance or a mystery, but as a gentle way to help people reconnect with parts of themselves that are often drowned out by the noise of everyday life.
If we work together, you won’t find judgment, pressure, or someone trying to tell you what your experience “should” be.
You’ll find curiosity, thoughtful questions, plenty of time to talk, and a space where you’re invited to explore at your own pace.

Commonly Asked Questions
Visualization is one of many ways the body and mind gather information. If you feel you cannot visualize, you will need to lean into your other senses (like intuition, inner knowing, sensing temperature or energy changes, smell, taste, etc.) in order to have successful hypnosis experience.

Preparing for Your Session
Before hypnosis, we’ll spend time talking.
If you’d like, you can come to the session with a set of questions. Together, we’ll look at the questions you’ve brought and explore what you’re truly hoping to discover.
Consider what you hope to discover or accomplish through hypnosis.
Really, you can’t screw this one up. You can wear and eat/drink whatever you want before a session. You cannot, however, be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.
That being said, being thoughtful and intentional about you choose to wear and eat or drink before a session can positively impact your experience with hypnosis.
My best advice is to wear comfortable loose-fitting clothes that you feel good in. Comfort and self-confidence greatly influence our mental state.
As far as eating and drinking are concerned, consume what you normally consume. It helps to be well hydrated. Avoid heavy meals, over-eating, and foods that generally don’t agree with you. Avoid copious amounts of caffeine.
If you are on any medications, take them as usual.
